1. What areas do you cover?
We currently walk dogs in and around Hoddeesdon, Ware, Broxbourne & Hertford. If you’re slightly outside our usual route, get in touch — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
2. How long are the walks?
Group walks at least an hour, not including pick-up and drop-off time.
3. How many dogs do you walk at once?
We walk up to 10 dogs at a time within a fully enclosed and secure area. This allows the dogs to safely socialise and exercise off lead under full supervision.
4. Are you insured?
Yes. Skye Walkers is fully insured for dog walking, transport, and pet care, and we’re covered for public liability. Copies of our policy are available on request.
5. Are you licensed?
Yes. I’m fully licensed under our local council and operate in accordance with animal welfare and transport standards.
6. Do you offer a pick-up and drop-off service?
Yes. This is included in the dog walk fee. However, there is an additional pick-up and drop-off charge for daycare, which varies depending on your location.
7. Do you walk dogs off lead?
Only with your written permission and once recall has been proven reliable. Until then, all new dogs remain on-lead or on long training lines.
8. What happens in bad weather?
We walk rain or shine — dogs need their exercise! The only exceptions are extreme heat or dangerous conditions, in which case we’ll adapt the walk (earlier/later start, shaded route if possible.
9. What if my dog is nervous or reactive?
We take the time to get to know each dog individually. Nervous dogs start with solo or small walks until they’re comfortable joining a group.
10. Do you take puppies?
Yes — as long as they’re up to date with vaccinations. We’ll start them with shorter, gentler walks or home visits until they’re ready to join the main group.
